Day 1: Travel and reuniting with Justin

Today, we began our adventure to Honduras with a small midnight gathering at Mt, Vernon Christian Church. Here, we collected all our possessions and thoughts, and after a small prayer we headed off on our adventure. 

After a small stay at Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., we boarded on a plane to Miami, which connected to a plane that took us to San Pedro Sula, Honduras. After landing in Honduras, we met Justin at the airport, where we drove two hours to get to the place where we would be staying. 

On the trip, we will be painting a school and working with the children of Honduras. We will be playing soccer with the kids from the school. Our objective is to make connections with the children of Honduras while also pointing them to the glory of God. We also want to make a lasting impact by helping their schools and their community. 

One of the most important things we want to do is encourage Justin as he continues in this journey even as we leave him, as he will make a much bigger impact with the kids than we will be able to do.
